oo 04/04/08 - BREAKING NEWS: We have decided to call a day to
the punk rock show boat that has been SECOND IN LINE. There has
not been a falling out or anything like "musical differences"
it's just things have moved on in our lives and the band has had
to take a back seat. So it's all come to a head and we've had
to make the decision. We are playing two more shows (5th April
in London supporting Billy No Mates and 11th April in Basingstoke)
and we are going to announce one final gig in Reading, we'll get
the date for that soon and we'll post it up here with all the
details. We're going to have a real blast of a send off + have
some amazing ideas for the final gig. With regards to new projects,
Dan and Chris are forming a new band called "One For The
Ditch" - so keep a look out for them. Gareth is still a Vodaclone
(ha ha ha, sorry dude!) and I (Mr. T) am mulling over a few potential
projects that have presented themselves to me. I'm also going
to be concentrating more on my zine "Lights Go Out"
(Issue 2 is in the making now!). Stay tuned for more info on the
final gig, new projects and the zine!
We wanna say thanks to every single band we played with, every
promoter/venue that put us on, anyone who came out to see us,
bought some merch & did anything at all to help us. We love
you loads, we've had a great six years and played over 150 gigs,
which was a pretty good run. So thanks everyone + please try and
make it down to one of the last few shows! Cheers.

oo 05/03/08 - We're playing Slough on Sunday, come along. Small
updates today on the gig and shop page, The Live Album is out
- so get hold ot it now. It'll also be available in Borders, Newbury
pretty soon as well, so grab copies from there too. Loads of stuff
in the pipeline right now, so keep a check on the page for updates
as they come in! Cheers.

oo 24/02/08 - Well yesterday was a knackering day for the band.
After the performance at the Face Bar in Reading in the early
evening then saw the boys fill in last minute at the Rising Sun
pub in Reading. Unfortunately though Gareth couldn't play the
second show, so the others played a rather interesting set as
a three piece! Also big shout out to Children Of The Cleg for
coming down and rocking it as well! Next show up is in Slough...unless
there is another last minute call...

oo 15/02/08 - Tomorrow is a big day for Second In Line. Dan's
beloved Bristol Rovers take on Chris and his Southampton boys.
The rivalry is pretty itense and it's even been featured in The
Bristol Evening Post who ran a small piece on it - click below
to check it out!
We've updated the gigs page with a few of the confirmed
upcoming shows. Our next show is on Feb 23rd at the Face Bar in
Reading - we're on stage quite early (around 6pm) - we'll get
the flier uploaded as soon as we can and also some older fliers
will be added soon, and some new pictures and loads more. We're
busy booking up shows. The live CD is out now, just £3 from
us at shows or £4 posted in the UK. E-mail us to order.
Don't forget Mr. T has his new zine out called "Lights Go
Out" - check the Myspace
page out and add the zine. More importantly order a copy - £1.50
posted in the UK or £1 at gigs.

oo 12/02/08 - We are officially back! We made our live debut Saturday
just gone - thanks to everyone who made it down to see Sarah Jane
Honeywell make her debut with us. She did an awesome job and we
loved every minute of her joining us on stage. Big shouts out
to Diatribe and Rage DC who supported us on the night. We have
loads of shows in the pipeline, some confirmed - we'll get the
gig page updated soon, so for now keep an eye on our Myspace page
for current gig dates. Our live album is out now so order it!
Mr. T has his new zine due out this week as well called Lights
Go Out - we're all looking forward to that. We'll do a huge update
here as soon as we can - next show though is Sat 23rd Feb @ The
Face Bar in Reading and we're on stage around 6pm. Cheers.

oo 23/01/08 - Sorry there's been no updates, we couldn't access
the site for a while, loads of stuff to tell you all about. We
have new songs, new press coverage, new gigs and more. But the
main news is that we're supporting Billy No Mates in London in
April! Get in! We grew up listening to Snuff and the chance to
support Billy No Mates is awesome for us, we really can't wait.
Don't forget the "comeback" show in Reading on Feb 9th,
it's going to be a blast, we can't wait to get back playing shows
again. Also Mr. T has put together a zine called "Lights
Go Out" which should hopefully be avail from the Reading
show. The live album will also be available at the Reading show,
which is the official launch night. We'll update this with more
info and stuff as soon as we can, the Reading flier and some great
zine coverage, but for now take it easy everyone.

oo 03/11/07 - Yeah we're still alive, just enjoying the time off
and getting on with things really. We have so much stuff in the
pipeline as well. We have started to write new tracks and will
start rehearsing in the near future. Then we'll be recording the
new stuff and coming back out to play shows. We are provisionally
booking February as our live return, but more news on that as
we get it.
We have our live album due out hopefully before the end of the
year, we have finally finished all the artwork for it, the front
cover looks like this:

Also the Mazfest DVD will be out soon, featuring
live footage of us (amongst others) - it's completely diy punk
rock and comes with no editing at all, straight from the camera
onto DVD for your enjoyment, it retails at £2.50 and will
be available through us as soon as we get copies. To reserve a
copy email us HERE,
cheers. Artwork for this is below:

Finally (for now) we're on a compilation CD from
a label in West Scotland, we'll get all the details of this up
as soon as we can, but it looks like another beauty little release!
So take care everyone and we'll see you next year for some awesome
punk rock shows!

oo 26/09/07 - Hello once again, sorry for the lack of updates.
So we've played all our shows for the year and the last day was
a whole lot of fun with the two gigs. The live album is just about
ready to go to pressing, need to finish the inner artwork for
the front cover, hopefully we'll have that done soon. The collaboration
will be recorded pretty soon as well we hope, so keep checking
here for more news and how to order the live CD, cheers!

oo 22/08/07 - More shite news - Portsmouth has been cancelled
by the venue on Saturday, something to do with problems there
last week. Gutted.
|
| |
oo 20/08/07 - Thanks loads to Adam yesterday, we had a well good
day down Margate/Westgate - what an awesome show that was. We
even survived a nice tyre blowout on the way back, I tell ya what
though, us boys can change a tyre nearly as fast as one of those
Formula One pit crews. We were back on the road in no time. Bad
news is that the promoter had a couple of bands drop out tomorrow
night in Northampton so the show has been cancelled unfortunately.
Shitty news. Means just three shows to go now before the break!
There is also an interview in the programme for the show that
we played in Margate yesterday with Chris - so check it out below.
|
| |
oo 16/08/07 - We're in Cambridge tomorrow night and then Sunday

details on this as and when we can give you them. But come along
to some of the upcoming shows, we haven't got many left until
we take some time off from the live scene to write and record
some new tracks. Cheers.

oo 22/07/07 - We've had some fun shows recently,
thanks to everyone who came along to Reading on Thursday. And
We had some fun in Ipswich yesterday, well good laugh. Highlight
of the day was when Gareth decided to spend a fiver on the machine
in the gents. He came back with what he thought was a game called
"Racing Snakes". What Gareth actually had spent a fiver
on can be seen below....
Yeah so Gareth bought a dildo!!! Anyways, we're recording a live
CD tonight @ the Cellar Bar in Bracknell, so please come along
and sing loudly and get yourself on the CD. We'll hopefully have
details on the release of it in the near future, so keep an eye
on the site for details. See you tonight!

up, so hope to see loads of you at the shows. Thursday night we're

stage, this year we're doing the electric stage. It's an all dayer
and it'll rock. Then on Sunday we're gonna be recording a live
CD in Bracknell @ The Cellar Bar - so come along and scream like
a girl/shout like a bloke and get yourself on the recording. Saturday
the 28th we're in Windsor for Punkout - a super cool all dayer
with this area's best punk rock bands around.
Don't forget to download the "Who's Got A Match"
comp CD via www.punkbands.com
- seriously it's so damn good. Click below to go download it.

All @ Rios, Lizzie, Marc + Carol @ The Bentley Arms, all the bands
we played with and everyone who came out to the shows, thanks
loads. Good times.
We've been added onto an awesome compilation put out by www.punkbands.com
which is available for digital download and features some cool
bands like New Bruises. It's called "Who's Got A Match?"
- So go download it now! It totally rocks.
We will be playing in the punk rock footie kick around in Reading
on Sunday, hope to see some of you there. Next show is in Reading

We're playing in Romford tomorrow night with The Creeping (who
rock). We're then off for our Leeds double header. First up in
the infamous Rios club supporting Rebel Truce (super cool Clash
tribute band), then on the Friday we're playing The Bentley Arms

some really cool bands that night. Then on Sunday we're at the
Fighting Cocks in Kingston, we love this venue and everyone there,

us. Fliers for the shows are below.

Reading. It's Sunday 15th July from Midday and it'll be a well
relaxed affair so come along and play football with us.

oo 10/06/07 - Amazing night in Windsor last night, so much fun
- if you didn't make it along then you really did miss out! Pics
from Slough last week are up now (Cheers to Matt Stats for taking
them). Next show is Basingstoke on Saturday, should be good, great
line up as well!
|
| |
oo 05/06/07 - Loads of new shit to report. First up some bad news
- the live show we recorded in Bracknell has been lost due to
some hard drive error or something, we're not technical so i'm
not sure exactly what happened, all we know is it's gone. We do
have one track "Fonzi" that survived as it was e-mailed
over to us before the loss. But this means we're gonna have to
do it all again on July 22nd - so do please come down and shout
at us and get yourself on our live CD. In other news a few more
shows have been confirmed, so check out the gigs page. We're in
Slough tomorrow night and Windsor on Saturday, both shows are
free entry so please try and make it along. Also big thanks to
everyone up in Manchester, we love playing up there and appreciate
your support. There are some live photos up from Manchester now
too, thanks go to Ed for snapping them. See you in the pit!
|
| |
oo 01/06/07 - A bundle of updates in the media section over the
last couple of days. More fliers have been added, a new video
(well actually an old video from 2004) has been stuck up and an
update on the press page as well. More to come. We're in Manchester
on Sunday night @ Joshua Brookes, so please do come along and
rock out with us. We're also close to confirming a date in Kingston
in July. July 15th we're also hosting the Allcore Punk Rock Football
tournament to be held in Reading. If you wanna get a team involved
then get in touch with us. Cheers.

oo 29/05/07 - Thanks to everyone who came along to the live recording
in Bracknell on Sunday night, well appreciated. We will of course
let everyone know when the CD is finished and how you can all
get hold of copies. We're also on a new comp CD put out by our
own Allcore Records label. It's a complete d.i.y. deal and features
some amazing underground bands, close friends and we let The Stats
on there as well. The CD is to accompany issue three of local
zine "Go Gibbon Go" and it's called "Another Bloody
Punk Comp". We have a few copies which are available at our
shows for a whole £1. The zine itself costs £1 as
well and is due out very soon. Click on the images below for the
covers/inserts.
We're also working on confirming up loads more shows,
we have added gigs in Leeds and Romford today - so keep an eye
on the gigs page for the full listing of where you can come and
see us. Kilburn on the 19th June should be amazing - New Bruises
are awesome - this is one show not to be missed, so please do
make sure you're there. Cheers.

sure you're on time everyone! Cheers.

oo 07/05/07 - Thanks to everyone for coming to Kingston, we had
an awesome night - so cheers. We're also pleased to announce that
it looks like we will be working with Cbeebies TV presenter Sarah-Jane
Honeywell in the future, hopefully on a few tracks, but we're
still sorting out exactly what's going on. More details as we
get them, also a big thanks to Tim as well for coming along to
Kingston and helping out with this project. Here's a picture of
Second In Line and Sarah-Jane.
In other news, we have a few shows coming up so
do check them out on the gigs page. Also this month we've been
featured in Blah Blah Magazine in the Unsigned Showcase section
of the magazine. Pick up a copy from pubs/gigs/record shops around
Berkshire and other areas from all good stockists and some shite
ones too. Here's the article.
We're also gonna be on a few compilations coming
out in the next few weeks/months hopefully. The first of these
is a promo CD to accompany Issue 3 of local music zine Go Gibbon
Go. It'll feature our tracks Joanie Loves Chachi and Brewster's
Millions. Other bands on this comp are The Stats, The Grizzley
Ends, Peng, Station Jim, The Creeping, Gimble, Zeeb? and Dungeons
- so it should be pretty fookin sweet, so get hold of a copy of
the magazine and get the free comp CD. Cheers.
