USA REPORT SECTION! So, I just got back from a week in New York City. Awesome music scene out there. First night I got there I managed to see Bad Religion supported by Rise Against. No pictures were allowed, but I sneaked a few from the middle of the crowd - so apologies for the quality of them, but some is better than none. I also saw Demander + These Bones @ The Mercury Lounge. Now this is where it gets interesting. Clubs don't allow you to take pictures of the bands. I spoke to a couple of people and one told me that you can get a license or something for $500 to allow you to take photos. This wasn't gonna happen obviously. After talking to the girl on the door, she said I could take photos if I didn't use a flash. Well this seemed stupid to me, cause the pictures won't come out. So halfway through Demander's set I just took normal pictures, nothing happened - I got away with it. Just amazes me how different places over there are with live photography.
